Seattle's mid-September temperatures hinge on the interplay between a persistent marine layer from the Pacific and variable onshore flow, keeping daytime highs clustered in the mid-to-upper 60s according to the latest National Weather Service and NOAA model runs. Ensemble guidance shows modest warming potential from brief ridging aloft, yet increased low-level moisture and possible afternoon cloud cover cap upside risk, supporting the near-even split between 66–67°F and 68–69°F outcomes. Historical climatology places the September 12 normal around 70°F, but recent cool anomalies tied to a neutral ENSO phase have shifted trader focus toward lower bins. Updated short-range forecasts and local mesonet observations through the afternoon will refine resolution criteria before markets close.
