Recent National Weather Service and model guidance points to a high near 70°F for Seattle on September 5, driven by a lingering upper-level low off the Oregon coast that maintains below-normal temperatures and periodic marine-layer influence across the Pacific Northwest. Light northerly to variable winds, increasing afternoon cloud cover, and dew points in the low-to-mid 50s are expected to cap daytime heating below the early-September climatological average of roughly 73°F. These conditions align with the market’s concentration of probability on 66–71°F outcomes, as traders weigh the balance between partial clearing that could briefly reach the low 70s and persistent stratus or showers that favor the upper 60s. Updated forecast discussions and morning model runs will be the next key inputs for resolution.
