Official temperature observations from Chicago-area stations, including those aligned with National Weather Service and NOAA reporting, recorded an overnight low of 60-61°F on September 11, 2026, establishing the dominant market consensus at 97.5% implied probability. Mild conditions under persistent high pressure, light winds, and limited cloud cover prevented further radiational cooling below this threshold, consistent with climatological averages near 60.7°F for the date and recent model guidance. Trader positioning reflects high confidence in these verified measurements over preliminary forecasts. Resolution could shift only if official post-event verification adjusts the exact minimum or applies a different station criterion, though such revisions remain uncommon for daily temperature markets.
