This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 1 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ksea This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Recent forecasts for Seattle’s overnight low heading into September 1 center on the mid-50s °F, consistent with the closely matched market-implied probabilities for 54–55 °F and 56–57 °F.** A warm front is expected to brush the area Tuesday night ahead of a stronger cold front arriving Wednesday, producing increasing clouds, a chance of light rain, and modest onshore flow that limits radiational cooling. National Weather Service discussions and ensemble guidance indicate this transition will keep conditions near or slightly below seasonal normals, with historical September 1 lows averaging 55.3 °F at Sea-Tac. Key variables differentiating the leading bins include overnight cloud cover and wind strength—greater mixing or lingering marine influence tends to hold minima in the upper 50s, while clearer breaks allow more cooling toward the mid-50s. Longer-range outlooks from the Climate Prediction Center also favor below-normal temperatures for the Pacific Northwest in early September, supporting the current trader consensus around the historical average while acknowledging typical model spread in the 52–59 °F range. Updated model runs and official NWS briefings through Labor Day weekend remain the primary near-term catalysts.
