Momentum reflected sustained Google Cloud strength—Q2 revenue rose 82% year-over-year to $24.8 billion with a $514 billion backlog—alongside AI infrastructure updates and Waymo’s Las Vegas expansion, tempered by elevated full-year 2026 CapEx guidance of $195–205 billion and ongoing free-cash-flow pressure. The stock remained well below its May 2026 high near $409, with forward multiples around 17–22 times earnings amid mixed broader tech sentiment and no immediate earnings catalyst until late October.
