The fragmented national field and absence of granular Amazonas-specific polling keep the first-round outcome in this northern state highly uncertain, with trader consensus reflected in clustered probabilities near 40-50% for Lula, Flávio Bolsonaro, Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, and several others. National surveys from early to mid-August show Lula (PT) holding a lead of roughly 38-42% overall ahead of Bolsonaro (PL) at 28-35%, while smaller candidates remain in single digits, yet regional dynamics such as alliances with local parties, Amazon policy priorities, and turnout among northern voters could shift relative performance. The October 4 first-round vote leaves limited time for late campaign events or endorsements to create separation in the state.
