Current National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts point to a high near 100°F in Dallas on August 31 under a persistent upper-level ridge centered over the region, delivering sunny skies, light southerly winds, and minimal moisture. This setup has produced highs of 100–102°F in recent days with little day-to-day change, keeping the most likely outcomes clustered in the 98–101°F range that dominates market-implied probabilities. Dry conditions and the ridge’s slow eastward shift limit cooling or intensification potential, while the short two-day lead time reduces forecast spread compared with longer-range outlooks. Historical August 31 averages near 94°F underscore how elevated the current pattern remains, though any late-model adjustment to cloud cover or wind could nudge the exact maximum within the leading bins.
