Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Los Angeles on September 2 points to sunny conditions with highs in the mid-70s to low-80s under moderate southwest flow, consistent with climatological norms near 76–77°F for the date. Onshore marine air and typical early-September sea-breeze patterns are expected to limit extreme heating despite clear skies, keeping the distribution centered on 74–77°F outcomes that together exceed 78% implied probability. Forecasters note low precipitation chances and stable high pressure without signals of anomalous warming or cooling events in the latest runs, while historical records show only modest year-to-year variability around this baseline. Traders appear to weigh these steady atmospheric conditions more heavily than outlier model spreads that could push readings into the low 80s or below 74°F.
