Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts indicate a minimum temperature near 71°F for Atlanta on September 21, driven by partly cloudy skies, light easterly winds, and scattered thunderstorm chances that limit nocturnal cooling. This baseline supports the market's elevated 50% implied probability on 65°F or below, as traders weigh potential for localized cooling from overnight showers or subtle model spreads in boundary-layer moisture. Historical September lows average around 65°F, yet persistent warm advection keeps higher bins (70-73°F) clustered near 20% each, reflecting consensus on limited diurnal range. Updated model runs tonight and morning observations will clarify whether convection or clearer skies shift the outcome before resolution.
