Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Los Angeles on September 15, 2026, points to overnight lows in the mid-60s Fahrenheit, driven by a persistent marine layer and onshore flow from the Pacific that moderates minimum temperatures near the coast. This pattern, typical for mid-September climatology with average lows around 64°F at downtown and LAX stations, supports the market's emphasis on the 68-69°F and 70-71°F bins as leading outcomes while keeping lower ranges like 61°F or below as longer shots absent a stronger cooling surge. Updated forecasts show no significant deviation from seasonal norms, with light winds and patchy fog limiting radiative cooling overnight. Traders appear to weigh the narrow uncertainty band around these mild conditions ahead of final observations.
