**Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and model guidance point to a mild high near 64–66°F for San Francisco on September 16, driven by persistent onshore flow, a strong marine layer, and southwest winds of 10–20 mph that limit inland warming.** This coastal moderation, typical for the date, aligns with recent observations where today’s high reached only the mid-60s under partly cloudy skies. The market’s emphasis on the 66–69°F bins reflects traders incorporating slight model spread and the possibility of brief clearing that could add a degree or two, while lower-probability warmer outcomes account for any unexpected weakening of the marine influence. Resolution will hinge on the official maximum at the designated station, with final readings expected by late afternoon.
