Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Miami on September 5 points to overnight lows in the upper 70s to low 80s amid persistent tropical moisture and widespread thunderstorm activity. High dew points near 77–79 °F and extensive cloud cover will limit radiative cooling after sunset, while light southeast winds maintain a steady influx of Atlantic warmth. These conditions compress the likely minimum range, favoring 78–79 °F as the most probable outcome while keeping 80–81 °F viable if convection lingers longer or if thicker cloud decks suppress further drops. Historical September climatology shows average lows near 77 °F, but the current pattern’s elevated humidity and storm-driven stabilization shift the distribution upward without introducing outlier cooling mechanisms.
