An incoming strong low-pressure system and associated cold front are suppressing daytime heating across the Pacific Northwest, driving market-implied odds toward highs in the mid-60s for Seattle on September 3. Official National Weather Service and ensemble guidance show persistent cloud cover, widespread rain or showers, and southerly flow moderating temperatures well below the early-September climatological average of 73–74 °F. Model consensus clusters daily maxima near 64–67 °F, with slight variations arising from exact frontal timing, precipitation intensity, and marine-layer depth over Puget Sound. These conditions create a narrow probability band around the leading bins while leaving modest room for modest warming if clouds break earlier than expected.
