Official National Weather Service forecasts for Seattle on September 1 project a high of 72°F under partly sunny skies as a weak warm front approaches, consistent with the market’s leading 72-73°F bin at 35.5% implied probability. Upper-level ridging and onshore flow keep temperatures near or slightly below the 74°F climatological average for the date, while model guidance shows limited warming potential before a stronger cold front brings cooler, wetter conditions Wednesday. Trader consensus reflects this tight clustering around official guidance, with lower-probability warmer bins (74-75°F and above) discounted by the expected marine layer influence and rapid seasonal transition. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will provide the clearest near-term signals for any last adjustments.
