**Trader consensus centers on an 80–83°F high for Los Angeles on August 30 as onshore marine-layer flow strengthens following the recent heat wave.** National Weather Service guidance and model consensus indicate morning low clouds and fog clearing to sunny conditions under southwest winds of 10–15 mph, with dew points falling into the mid-60s°F and allowing modest afternoon warming. The narrow spread between the 80–81°F and 82–83°F bins reflects uncertainty in the precise timing of marine-layer clearance and the strength of the sea breeze across the Los Angeles basin versus warmer inland valleys. Recent NWS discussions note a steady cooling trend of roughly 5°F per day since the mid-week peak, driven by the return of typical late-summer onshore flow rather than persistent high pressure. Final temperature readings will hinge on how quickly the marine layer erodes and whether localized heating exceeds model projections.
