Persistent marine layer influence and strong onshore flow from the cool California Current and coastal upwelling keep Pacific waters near 55–58°F, capping San Francisco highs below the 69.8°F climatological average and positioning 66–71°F bins as the leading outcomes. National Weather Service forecasts for August 30 point to partly cloudy skies with a high near 66–69°F at SFO, where minor afternoon clearing or lighter winds could add 2–3°F while thicker stratus or stronger sea breezes favor the lower end. Trader consensus on 68–69°F (36.5%) and adjacent ranges reflects model spread in boundary-layer mixing and wind patterns, with low probabilities below 64°F or above 72°F underscoring limited upside potential under typical late-August coastal conditions.
