Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to an overnight low in the mid-50s Fahrenheit for San Francisco on September 7, driven by persistent onshore flow, a stable marine layer, and light winds that limit radiational cooling. This aligns closely with the long-term average low of 56.1 °F for the date and recent observations showing similar values (57 °F on September 4). Traders have concentrated implied probability on the 56–57 °F bin because forecast spreads remain narrow, with only modest uncertainty from possible cloud-cover variations or slight model timing differences in the sea breeze. No strong offshore wind or heat-wave signals appear in the short-range guidance, keeping warmer or much colder outcomes at lower market-implied odds ahead of final observations.
