This market will resolve according to the candidate who receives the most valid votes from York County in the Special Republican Primary Runoff for United States Senator from South Carolina, which is scheduled to be held on August 25, 2026. The named candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidates' last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking. If the York County results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other." This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of South Carolina, including the Election Commission and the government of York County.Ralph Norman's decisive performance in York County reflects his deep roots as the area's longtime U.S. representative and strong backing from conservative voters across the Upstate region during the August 25 Republican Senate special primary runoff. His home-county margin approached two-to-one, consistent with broader regional patterns where he outperformed Darline Graham Nordone despite her statewide victory driven by President Trump's endorsement, heavy advertising, and support in the Midlands and Lowcountry. Trader consensus at these levels aligns with confirmed county-level results showing Norman's clear edge among participating Republican primary voters. Late-breaking certification delays or unusually narrow final tallies remain the primary scenarios that could still shift resolution, though historical patterns in South Carolina special elections indicate such reversals are rare once precinct reporting exceeds 99 percent.
