Current National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts for Los Angeles on September 20 point to a daily high near 76–77°F, driven by a persistent marine layer with morning low clouds and fog followed by mostly cloudy skies and light onshore southwest flow that limits afternoon warming. This setup aligns with climatological norms for mid-September at coastal stations like LAX, where the 1991–2020 average high is 75.9°F and recent days have shown similar moderation without strong offshore winds or clear-sky heating. Trader consensus reflected in the 55.5% implied probability for 76–77°F incorporates these verified model outputs and observed trends, while lower odds on 78–79°F or cooler bins account for typical forecast uncertainty ranges and potential minor clearing.
