FP secured 22 of 60 Senate seats in Peru's April 12-13 general election, the first under the reinstated bicameral Congress, establishing a clear plurality over Juntos por el Perú's 14 seats and Renovación Popular's 8. This outcome aligns with the party's national vote share and Keiko Fujimori's first-round presidential performance, driven by voter emphasis on security and economic stability amid widespread fragmentation across 35 parties. Official ONPE tallies reached over 99 percent by mid-May, with the National Electoral Jury rejecting fraud claims from trailing groups, leaving FP's lead intact ahead of congressional installation. Only verified large-scale irregularities or successful legal reversals could alter the result within the final certification window.
