National Weather Service guidance and ensemble model runs currently favor a daytime high in the mid-90s for Denver on August 28, driven by strong solar heating under mostly sunny skies and light southwesterly flow. Afternoon temperatures will depend on the precise timing and coverage of any developing cumulus or isolated thunderstorms, which can cap peak readings by limiting insolation or enhance them via downslope warming. With 92–95 °F bins holding the bulk of market-implied probability, traders are pricing in modest forecast spread arising from boundary-layer moisture and wind shifts near the urban heat island. Updated NWS point forecasts and next model cycles will provide the clearest signal on whether the maximum reaches the upper or lower half of that range.
