This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Miami Intl Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 26 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=kmia This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Miami International Airport indicate a high near 91°F on August 26, supported by mostly sunny skies early before scattered afternoon thunderstorms develop. These storms, driven by daytime heating, sea-breeze convergence, and high boundary-layer moisture, introduce the main uncertainty: earlier or stronger convection could cap the peak in the upper 80s, while delayed activity might allow readings into the low 90s. Typical August climatology features a 90°F normal high, with heat indices often exceeding 105°F due to dew points near 75°F; recent model consensus shows limited deviation from this pattern absent stronger subsidence or Saharan dust influences. Resolution hinges on the official daily maximum observation, with traders weighting the balance between radiative heating and convective cooling.
