**Trader sentiment for Chongqing’s lowest temperature on September 9, 2026, centers on 27–29°C as the consensus range, reflecting stable late-summer conditions with limited overnight cooling.** Multiple forecasts, including local meteorological data and international models, indicate a daily minimum near 27.5°C, consistent with the market-implied probabilities (29°C at 66%, 28°C at 33.5%, 27°C at 32%). Daytime highs reached 35–37°C under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies, while humidity levels of 30–50% and light winds moderated radiative cooling after sunset. Chongqing’s subtropical monsoon climate typically features warm September nights, with urban heat retention and high moisture content preventing sharper drops. Official guidance from the Chongqing Meteorological Station noted overnight lows in the 27–34°C range for the urban core, with no incoming cold fronts or significant precipitation to accelerate cooling. Recent model runs show consensus on this outcome, with only modest variability tied to exact cloud cover and wind patterns. Lower probabilities for 26°C or below align with the absence of stronger cooling mechanisms, while higher values above 30°C remain unlikely given the observed diurnal range. Updated forecasts and any late-day observations will refine resolution as the 24-hour period closes.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zuck
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
