Francesca Hong holds a strong lead in the Democratic primary for Wisconsin governor ahead of the August 11, 2026, contest, with traders assigning her a 75.5% chance of carrying Waukesha County. Recent polling from Marquette University shows Hong ahead statewide after Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez withdrew and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley reentered with an endorsement from Gov. Tony Evers. Other declared candidates include state Sen. Kelda Roys and former state official Joel Brennan. Waukesha’s Democratic primary electorate, though smaller than urban areas, remains a key test of suburban support, and Hong’s polling edge plus recent campaign shifts have shaped the current implied probabilities among traders. The race features limited remaining time for further movement before primary ballots are cast.
