**Persistent high-pressure dominance and unseasonably warm overnight conditions are positioning 78-79°F as the clear leader in the Houston lowest-temperature market for September 23.** National Weather Service and private-model guidance as of September 21 show a strong ridge maintaining clear skies and light winds, with forecast lows for the night of the 23rd clustered in the upper 70s to low 80s—most often 78-82°F. This reflects a multi-day heat wave that has kept recent observed lows in the 72-80°F range, well above the early-September climatological average near 71°F. A weak frontal boundary is expected to approach only after the 23rd, offering little relief to overnight temperatures in the immediate window. The market's heavy weighting on 78-79°F (47%) directly tracks this consensus, while the 25.5% on 90°F+ and sub-1% odds on 71°F or below correctly discount both extreme heat and any rapid cooling. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will be the key catalysts for any shift.
