Incumbent Republican Marlin Stutzman holds a commanding position in Indiana's 3rd congressional district race, reflecting the area's consistent Republican lean in northeast Indiana around Fort Wayne. Stutzman secured renomination comfortably in the May 2026 primary and previously won with 65% of the vote in 2024. The district's voter base, combined with the absence of competitive polling shifts or major campaign developments since the primaries, supports trader consensus on a Republican hold. Democratic nominee Kelly Thompson and independent Phillip Beachy have not generated notable momentum or fundraising signals that would alter the baseline. Potential shifts remain possible from late-cycle events such as a significant scandal, health development affecting the incumbent, or an unexpected national political wave, though historical patterns in this district limit the likelihood of such outcomes overturning the current positioning.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
