Incumbent Republican Trent Kelly faces Democratic nominee Cliff Johnson and Libertarian Johnny Baucom in Mississippi's 1st Congressional District on November 3, 2026. The district's consistent Republican tilt, reinforced by Kelly's prior reelection margins and a Cook Partisan Voting Index near R+18, anchors trader consensus reflected in the 94.5% Republican price. Kelly secured his nomination without primary opposition, while Johnson prevailed in the Democratic primary. Nonpartisan ratings from Cook, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and Decision Desk HQ classify the seat as solidly or safely Republican. A national Democratic surge, late scandal, or sharply elevated challenger turnout could compress the margin, though such shifts have proven rare in this district three months from the general election.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
