The 2026 Surrey, BC mayoral race on October 17 features a fragmented field that keeps implied probabilities tight, with trader consensus placing Linda Annis (Surrey First) narrowly ahead of incumbent Brenda Locke (Surrey Connect) while Doug McCallum (Safe Surrey Coalition), Mike Starchuk (Imagine Surrey), and smaller contenders trail. Vote splitting across established civic parties and newer slates, combined with limited public polling and ongoing platform announcements on policing transition, property taxes, infrastructure, and Metro Vancouver membership, sustains the close contest. Recent candidate declarations and spending-limit settings have not yet produced decisive separation, leaving room for late momentum from endorsements, debates, or turnout among key voter blocs ahead of advance voting.
