The solidly Republican lean of Texas’s 12th congressional district, reflected in a Cook Partisan Voting Index of R+11 and consistent double-digit margins for Republican presidential candidates in recent cycles, anchors trader consensus at 90.5% for the Republican nominee. Incumbent Craig Goldman advanced unopposed through the March 2026 Republican primary, while Democratic nominee Heli Rodriguez Prilliman confronts structural limits in fundraising, turnout, and voter registration in a district that has favored Republicans by wide margins in prior House contests. Nonpartisan ratings classify the seat as Solid or Safe Republican. Late developments such as a major scandal involving the incumbent, an unexpected health event, or an unusually strong national Democratic performance could narrow the margin, though historical patterns indicate such shifts would need exceptional conditions to overcome the district’s baseline partisan tilt.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
