Texas's 30th congressional district maintains a strong Democratic lean, reflected in a Partisan Voter Index near D+25 and large prior margins for Democratic candidates, including Kamala Harris in 2024. The seat opened after incumbent Jasmine Crockett pursued a Senate bid, leading to a March 2026 Democratic primary victory by Frederick Haynes III and a May runoff win for Republican Everett Jackson. Nonpartisan ratings from Cook Political Report, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and others classify the November 3 general election as Solid or Safe Democratic. Trader consensus aligns with these fundamentals and the absence of competitive polling or recent shifts. Late developments such as major candidate scandals, health events, or extreme turnout swings could theoretically narrow the gap, though structural barriers make such changes improbable before election day.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
