The recent September 3, 2026, models outage on Grok (Web), lasting over three hours and tied to an issue at xAI’s Memphis data center, stands as the key catalyst shaping trader views on near-term reliability. This event coincided with simultaneous disruptions at ChatGPT and Claude, underscoring shared infrastructure strains across major large language model providers amid surging demand. Official status pages now show full operational uptime with no new incidents in the following week, yet recurring past outages in early 2026 highlight ongoing scaling challenges for xAI’s compute resources. Traders monitoring resolution criteria will watch for any fresh announcements on data center expansions or model releases that could either stabilize service or introduce fresh risks before the market closes.

An incident which is marked "Resolved" outside this market’s timeframe will only qualify if ongoing at the end of the listed calendar date (ET), in which case the market will remain open until that incident is marked “Resolved,” and resolution of this market will be based on the incident classification displayed immediately after it is marked "Resolved."
The primary resolution source for this market will be the official xAI Grok (Web) status page at https://status.x.ai/grok-com. If this resolution source is unavailable at check time, this market will remain open until it comes back online and resolve based on the first check after it becomes available. If it becomes permanently unavailable, this market will resolve to "No".
