Current short-range forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources indicate Houston highs in the mid-90s on September 8 under partly sunny skies with a 30% rain chance and heat indices near 105°F, driven by typical late-summer Gulf moisture and weak steering flow. This consensus produces the even 25% market-implied probabilities across 88–97°F bins, as small differences in afternoon sea-breeze timing, cloud cover, or convective initiation can shift the daily peak by several degrees. Historical September averages near 91°F and recent days in the low-to-mid 90s provide context, while model updates through the weekend remain the key near-term catalyst for any odds shifts.
