Recent National Weather Service and model guidance, including GFS runs, indicate a northeast flow will keep New York City highs in the mid-70s on September 6, driving the market's concentration on the 74–77°F bins. Cooler maritime air and partly to mostly sunny conditions are expected to suppress temperatures below the late-summer climatological average of roughly 79–80°F, with overnight lows in the low-to-mid 60s limiting daytime recovery. Model consensus remains tight, though minor shifts in wind direction or cloud cover could nudge readings toward the 78°F threshold. Traders appear to weigh these official forecasts heavily, as the implied probabilities align closely with the latest guidance ahead of tomorrow’s resolution.
