Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model consensus indicate sunny skies and northerly flow over NYC on September 5, supporting highs near 80°F after earlier humid conditions. This aligns with climatological averages around 79–80°F for early September and reflects post-frontal stabilization that limits afternoon mixing and cloud cover. Traders assign the highest implied probability to the 80–81°F bin because slight variations in wind timing, urban heat island effects, or model bias could push readings into the low 80s or hold them in the upper 70s. Updated short-range guidance and local observations over the next 48 hours will refine the exact peak.
