**Trader consensus centers on 30–32°C as the most likely maximum for Manila on September 3, reflecting the southwest monsoon’s dominance and associated cloud cover and showers that typically limit daytime heating.** PAGASA outlooks indicate a 26–32°C range with a 60% rain chance, consistent with long-term September averages of 31–32°C highs amid frequent monsoon activity. A nearby tropical depression is enhancing moisture transport and scattered thunderstorms, which reduce solar insolation and can suppress peaks below historical norms when rainfall is widespread or prolonged. Differentiation among the tightly bunched 29–32°C outcomes hinges on short-term variables such as cloud thickness, rainfall timing, and local wind patterns: heavier or earlier convection favors the lower end (29–30°C), while brief clear spells or weaker monsoon flow allow brief warming toward 32°C. Sea surface temperatures near 29°C sustain humidity but do not support extreme heat under these conditions. Updated PAGASA guidance and model runs over the next 48 hours will refine the exact maximum.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=rpll
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
