Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources indicate overnight lows in central New York City on September 5 will likely fall in the mid-to-upper 60s under mostly clear skies and light northerly winds that promote radiational cooling after a daytime high near 78°F. This setup follows a modest cooling trend from recent days with upper-60s to low-70s minima, driven by northwest flow and limited moisture. Market-implied odds favor the 68-69°F bin at 47 percent, with the 66-67°F and 70-71°F ranges close behind, aligning with ensemble guidance that shows only modest uncertainty in minimum temperatures. Updated model runs and official forecasts through early September 5 will determine final resolution.
