Recent forecasts for Mexico City on September 5 show daily highs clustered around 24–26°C, with light showers or variable afternoon cloud cover expected to moderate peak readings amid the rainy season. Mexico City’s high elevation near 2,240 meters keeps baseline September maxima around 23–24°C historically, while daytime heating, humidity, and convective activity can shift outcomes by 1–2°C depending on the exact timing of cloud build-up and precipitation. Global model consensus remains split on whether clearing allows a brief spike near 27°C or scattered rain caps the reading at 25–26°C, creating the tight market spread between those two leading outcomes. Updated runs from agencies like Mexico’s SMN or major ensembles will likely refine the maximum as the date approaches.
