Andy Eads holds a commanding lead in the 2026 Denton County Judge race as the Republican incumbent who advanced unopposed through the March primary, facing Democratic nominee Nick Pappas in the November 3 general election. Trader consensus at 90.5% for Eads reflects the county's established Republican voting patterns and his long tenure on the Commissioners Court since 2007, which has emphasized transportation infrastructure, low tax rates, and public safety priorities. Limited recent developments have not shifted this positioning, with no major primary challenges or reported controversies altering the baseline. Scenarios that could narrow the gap include unusually high Democratic turnout, late developments in national or state politics, or unforeseen candidate-specific events before election day.
