Wang Chung-ming, the Kuomintang incumbent magistrate of Lienchiang County since 2022, leads the market at 84% implied probability ahead of the November 28, 2026 local elections. His position reflects established incumbency advantages, consistent KMT organizational backing in the county, and the absence of competitive primary challenges or strong opposition nominations to date. Earlier rivals including Tsao Erh-yuan (around 8%) and Tsao Erh-chang (under 1%) trail significantly, consistent with limited reported activity or alternative candidacies. July 2026 KMT leadership rallies across multiple counties reinforced party unity for sitting officeholders without indicating shifts in this race. Traders price in these structural factors, while primary outcomes or late entries remain potential variables before voting.
