Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Baja California on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Baja California gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Baja California and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Baja California and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, the sitting Tijuana mayor on leave, holds the clearest lead in trader pricing for the 2027 Baja California gubernatorial election at 43.5 percent, reflecting his consistent edge in Morena internal polling. Julieta Ramírez Padilla follows at 25.5 percent as the next most viable contender, while the remaining field—including Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, Héctor Osuna Jaime, and several other registered aspirants—trails in single digits. Morena’s internal selection process, scheduled to conclude ahead of the general vote, remains the decisive stage given the party’s dominant position in statewide preferences. Recent candidate registrations and early surveys have reinforced Burgueño’s frontrunner status without major shifts, keeping probabilities anchored to name recognition, municipal records, and coalition support within the ruling movement. Further polling releases or official nomination steps could widen or narrow gaps ahead of the June 2027 contest.
