Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Denver on September 16 project a high near 84°F under mostly sunny to increasing cloudy conditions, with a 30% chance of afternoon thunderstorms, aligning closely with the tight market clustering around 82–87°F. Light easterly winds, residual moisture from a recent cool front, and potential convective development after peak heating introduce modest uncertainty in maximum temperature. Afternoon cloud cover or storms could suppress readings toward the lower end by limiting solar insolation and triggering cooling outflows, while clearer intervals or delayed convection might allow brief warming into the mid-80s. Official ASOS observations at Denver International Airport will resolve the daily high against the 1991–2020 September average of 79°F.
