Forecast models from the Finnish Meteorological Institute and international ensembles show a mild southwesterly flow over Helsinki on September 17, supporting a daytime maximum near 16–17 °C with light winds of 5–8 m/s and only modest cloud cover or scattered showers. This aligns closely with the late-summer climatological average of about 15 °C while recent runs have stabilized around the upper end of that range, giving 17 °C a narrow edge in market-implied odds. Minor model spread on exact timing of any rain or afternoon clearing creates the small probability tail for 16 °C or an 18 °C outlier if insolation increases. Updated guidance expected overnight will determine whether traders further consolidate around these two outcomes ahead of the official daily maximum reading.
