Recent forecasts from Malaysian meteorological authorities and international models indicate a daytime peak of 32–34°C for Kuala Lumpur on September 18, consistent with the market’s leading probabilities for 33°C and 32°C. Typical September conditions feature mean highs near 32°C amid the inter-monsoon period, with high humidity, scattered thunderstorms, and occasional haze limiting extreme heating while allowing midday peaks before convective clouds develop. Official district guidance lists a 34°C maximum, aligning with observed recent daily maxima around 33°C and supporting the modest 12.5% implied probability for 34°C. No significant heatwave or unusual atmospheric setup has emerged to shift odds toward 35°C or higher.
