Recent forecasts from multiple models project Mexico City’s September 18 high near 22–25 °C, driven by the city’s 2,240 m elevation, persistent cloud cover, and light rain typical of the late rainy season. These conditions suppress solar heating and cap afternoon peaks, consistent with historical September averages of 23–24 °C. Current model runs show overcast skies and northerly flow limiting warming, supporting the market’s emphasis on 24 °C (43.5 %) and 25 °C or higher (26.5 %) as leading outcomes while assigning low probability to extremes. Official station observations will resolve the market once the daily maximum is recorded.
