Current National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance point to clear skies and light southeast winds supporting overnight radiative cooling with lows near 74°F for Austin on September 19. The near-even market split between 63°F-or-below and 82°F-or-higher reflects trader focus on residual uncertainty in boundary-layer moisture and any late-day cloud changes that could alter minimum temperatures by several degrees. Mid-September climatology shows average lows around 67°F, so the projected value sits above normal yet well short of either tail outcome. Key variables include dewpoint trends and wind speed overnight, with final model updates and any short-term guidance shifts likely to drive the next adjustments in implied probabilities.
