Recent National Weather Service and numerical weather model guidance point to a high temperature near 65°F for San Francisco on September 16, driven by persistent onshore flow and marine-layer stratus that limits daytime warming along the coast. This climatological pattern, typical for mid-September when the Pacific high strengthens and directs cooler air inland, supports the market’s concentration around the 66–69°F and 66–67°F bins. Ensemble spreads remain modest, with limited upside risk from offshore warming or subsidence, while downside scenarios tied to thicker fog or stronger winds keep lower bins lightly priced. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion are the key near-term catalysts that could refine these implied probabilities.
