Forecast consensus from National Weather Service-aligned models and private providers places Atlanta’s September 15 high in the lower 90s, with most runs centering on 89–92 °F under sunny skies and easterly flow. Persistent high pressure and minimal moisture advection have maintained above-normal temperatures following several consecutive days in the mid-90s, roughly 8–10 °F above the 1991–2020 mid-September average of ~83.5 °F. With only a 6 % precipitation chance and light winds, little cooling from cloud cover or evaporation is expected, supporting the market’s heavy weighting toward the 90–93 °F bins. Model agreement remains tight this close to the event, though minor adjustments in boundary-layer moisture could still shift the exact peak by a degree or two before official observation at Hartsfield-Jackson.
