**Trader consensus in the Polymarket market for Taipei’s highest temperature on September 16, 2026, centers on 29–31°C, led by 30°C at 45.5% implied probability.** This positioning reflects official forecast guidance from sources including the Central Weather Administration and international models showing a daytime maximum moderated by persistent cloud cover, northeast monsoon flow, and light easterly winds. Recent observations indicate morning temperatures rising from the low 20s°C under mostly cloudy skies with high humidity (around 60–80%) and a chance of light drizzle, limiting solar heating and keeping the peak below the seasonal average of roughly 31°C for mid-September. Earlier in the month, clearer conditions allowed highs near 32–34°C, but the current setup—with stable high pressure and onshore flow—has suppressed intensification. Model consensus and real-time station data (e.g., from Taipei-area automatic weather stations) continue to point to a narrow range around 27–30°C, aligning with the market’s tight clustering on 29–31°C outcomes while assigning low probability to extremes above 32°C or below 28°C. New hourly observations and any late-day forecast adjustments from monitoring agencies remain the key near-term drivers.
