Current National Weather Service forecasts and model guidance indicate Atlanta overnight lows on September 21 will likely settle in the low 70s, supported by dew points holding near 71°F and light, variable winds that limit radiational cooling. Persistent humidity and a chance of showers or thunderstorms through the evening further moderate temperature drops, consistent with recent climatological patterns for late September where minima rarely fall below the upper 60s without a stronger frontal passage. The closely matched market-implied odds for 70-71°F and 72-73°F reflect genuine uncertainty in exact timing of cloud cover and precipitation, with new model runs and official updates expected to provide clearer resolution criteria ahead of the daily minimum observation.
