**Persistent tropical moisture from approaching Tropical Storm Edouard and associated cloud cover are keeping overnight lows elevated above the 75°F September 3 climatological average.** National Weather Service and model guidance through early September 1 indicate upper-70s minima for the night of September 2–3, with humid southerly flow, widespread showers, and limited radiative cooling limiting drops to the 78–81°F range that dominates current market-implied probabilities. Slight differences among the leading 80–81°F, 78–79°F, and 82–83°F bins reflect model spread in exact rainfall timing, wind speeds, and any partial clearing before dawn, which can alter the overnight minimum by a degree or two. Forecasters note continued flood-watch conditions and high dew points that suppress cooling, while any faster storm passage could allow marginally lower readings. Updated NWS guidance and model runs ahead of September 3 will be the key near-term drivers for trader adjustments.
